eTwinning Project Workshop – Medelova SS, Erasmus+ 3D Academy
During the February 2026 mobility P1 – “3D Printing Step by Step” at Medelova Secondary School in Novi Jičín, Czech Republic, students of the Erasmus+ 3D Academy project participated in a dedicated eTwinning workshop developed by IES Playmar Team.

This session aimed to introduce participants to collaborative international projects and show how they can contribute to shared activities with other schools across Europe.

The workshop began with an explanation of eTwinning, the European platform that connects schools and students for joint projects, promoting digital collaboration, intercultural exchange, and educational innovation. Instructors highlighted how this platform complements the 3D Academy project by allowing students to share ideas, work on design challenges, and collaborate remotely with peers from partner institutions.

Students were guided through the process of creating and participating in an eTwinning project, learning how to set up online workspaces, upload 3D designs, communicate with team members, and document their progress. The workshop emphasized how collaboration across borders can enhance creativity, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy.

The session also encouraged students to interact with other schools interested in 3D printing, digital design, and related technologies. By participating in this eTwinning initiative, students gain experience working in international teams, share innovative solutions, and develop projects that combine practical skills with educational outcomes.
For the Erasmus+ 3D Academy participants, the eTwinning workshop offered a valuable opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom and the physical mobility activities. It reinforced the importance of networking, cooperation, and peer learning in international projects, while also allowing students to contribute to meaningful joint initiatives.
This activity was an important complement to the mobility P1 – “3D Printing Step by Step”, highlighting the role of digital collaboration platforms in enhancing project outcomes, fostering innovation, and connecting young learners with peers across Europe.
